Hello there!

So good to see you here. I'm Katrina and MOTIF is my design company. On this site you'll find my cards, posters and other pieces of art. I design things that make me happy and I hope they do the same for you.

I learnt the ins and outs of design at Winchester School of Art, England, where I specialised in printed textiles for the interior. My career started in the design studios of New York and what a marvelous start that was! Inspired by everything that was going on around me, I created my own design studio and travelled the world selling my printed designs.

Today I live with my family and Dexter, the dog, in a charming Dutch village less than an hour from Amsterdam. From here, I create designs that are colourful and whimsical. I've always made cards and gifts for friends and family and now I want to bring these designs to you. I take my inspiration from the world around me and create hand-painted images that are the basis for all my designs. I'm hoping that these designs will be a joy to see and, of course, to receive.
